Early Childhood Centre

The Harmony House Childhood Centre forms part of the Harmony House community project.  The location has offered education to children for over seventy years.

The Childhood Centre is registered to provides 69 places for children aged from 3 months to 5 years is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday for 48 weeks of the year. 
There are
- 9 places for babies from 3 months to 2 years,
- 40 places for toddlers from 2 and 3 years
- 20 places for children from 3 to 5 years. 

Our aim is to be flexible, within reason, in responding to what parents’ needs are.  Therefore, there is a combination of full, part-time and sessional care available. 
Crèche places are for children whose parents are taking courses in the adjoining adult education centre.
Our policy is to admit children from the local community from a range of backgrounds and cultures.  This is to acknowledge the richness and diversity of cultures represented locally.
